Commissioned Artwork – Cancellation & Returns

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, customers purchasing online within the UK and EU normally have the right to cancel an order within 14 days of receiving the goods. However, this right does not apply to goods made to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalised.

All commissioned artworks sold through this website are bespoke pieces created to the customer’s individual requirements. As such, commissioned artworks are exempt from the 14-day cancellation and return period under Regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and equivalent EU consumer protection legislation.

By placing an order for a commissioned artwork, the customer acknowledges and agrees that:

  • the artwork is custom-made and personalised;
  • the statutory 14-day cooling-off period does not apply;
  • cancellations, returns, and refunds are not accepted once the commission has been confirmed and work has commenced;
  • any deposit paid is non-refundable once work has begun.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights. If an artwork arrives damaged, defective, or not as described, please contact us within 14 days of delivery so we can resolve the matter.
