A limited number of commissions are accepted each year, allowing each painting the time, care, and attention it deserves. These works are more than images—they are quiet attempts to hold onto something: a presence, a moment, a feeling that might otherwise pass.
Each piece is developed slowly, through layers of paint, with a focus on light, atmosphere, and the subtle details that bring a subject to life. All commissions begin with photographs, which I use as a starting point for interpreting and shaping the final painting.
WHAT CAN BE COMMISSIONED:
- Portraits – created from your photographs and thoughtfully interpreted to capture not just a likeness, but the feeling and character of the person or pet.
- Figurative works
- Landscapes
- Select still life subjects
THE PROCESS:
Every commission begins with a conversation. From there, the work unfolds gradually:
- We discuss your ideas, references, and what you would like the piece to convey
- A direction is agreed upon together
- A deposit (50%) secures your place and allows work to begin
- You’ll receive a progress update as the painting develops
- Once complete, the painting is shared for your approval, followed by the remaining balance
Each commission takes several weeks to develop, depending on scale and complexity.
PRICING:
Commissions begin at £250, with the final cost depending on the scale and complexity of the work.
